Hello,

After much back and forth between the Mods, and the various input we've heard from participants reaching out to us, the general consensus is "A
rtists would like to not be restricted on the content they submit".

To support this feedback we will not enforce limiting artists to one smut prompt.

We respect the people's decision, and would like to take this time to reiterate:
We cannot guarantee every piece submitted will be claimed, but we will try our hardest to promote where we can.

As the rule was intended to help fill as many prompts as possible, we are going to experiment with an optional "Open Claims" this bang.

Please see the Open Claims post for details.

Hello,

As the short-lived "artist restriction to one smut prompt" rule was intended to encourage as many prompt fills as possible, we're going to experiment with an "Open Claims" for the artwork that is not claimed after all the signed up authors have made their selections.

Participating in Open Claims will be completely optional, and at the discretion of the artist per piece of artwork.

Open Claims are outlined below:

  • If an artwork is not claimed after all the participating authors have had their first, and second, pick of the works, the unclaimed art will have the option to go into Open Claims at the artist's discretion.

  • If an artist chooses to not have their work placed in Open Claims it will remain available to the signed up authors if they'd like to pick up another story

  • If an artist chooses to add their art to the Open Claims, it will be subtly displayed on this page for anyone to claim. Whether they initially signed up for the reverse bang or not.

  • The Open Claims will remain available through the duration of the reverse bang.

  • If the art is still unclaimed at the end of all the posting dates, the artist will be asked if they would like to post their art without a story, or if they would like to take it back and try again for another reverse bang.

  • An author dropping from a bang will not automatically place an artwork into Open Claims.

  • If pinch hitters have declined to pick up the art, the artist then has the choice to place the art into Open Claims.

Clarifying detail will be added to this post as needed, but any drastic changes will be announced in an individual post.
